Internal Auditor

Responsibilities:

  • Establish an audit procedure to monitor the effectiveness and practicality of the overall operations in the mill, such as milling operations (Boiler, weighbridge, FFB ramp and Laboratory), stores (procurement and stock controls), equipment maintenance, check roll operations, and accounts (Budgets and Capital Expenditures).
  • To confirm quantity measurements by examining the oil extraction rate (OER) in storage tanks and the kernel extraction rate (KER) in silos, and ensuring that the resulting computation corresponds to the declared report.
  • Assist in maintaining, revise and provide insight on new development of framework and standard operating procedure of all operations in the company.
  • Ensure that the company’s standard operating procedure is being adhered to.
  • Performing and controlling the full audit cycle to oversee the efficiency of the respective operation, which includes risk management and control management.
  • To conduct internal audit on the mill management operating units against sustainable palm oil certification requirement such as MSPO, RSPO and ISCC.
  • Coordinate and monitor planned audits, and ensure that audit recommendations have been implemented.
  • To report directly to the Plantation Director – Plantations and Mill / his representative on all audit matters, and all reports shall be sent solely to the Plantation Director / his representative. The daily report is strictly private and confidential and only to be discussed with the Plantation Director / his representative.
  • Maintain a clear audit trail of activities through proper filing and documentation.
  • Analysing data and trends to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Maintain open communication with the Management regarding any mill-related issues.
  • Coordinate the operating unit personnel to implement the action plan.

Requirement:

  • Must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Chemical/Manufacturing Engineering or related fields.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of internal auditing experience in palm oil mill will be an advantage.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presenting, strong analytical, report writing and communication abilities in English (verbal and written), as well as the ability to interact with others.
  • Able to identify and evaluate risk, as well as to recommend solutions.
  • Good understanding, comprehension and articulation of auditing and accounting principles.
  • Willing to reside in remote area.
